Xinyuyan

Xinyuyan is a work-in-progress constructed language that follows a different approach from all the popular conlangs. Currently, this site holds a Reference for the defined symbols, and a list of Sentences in this language.

When in doubt, read the Reference.

Priorities

The priorities of the Xinyuyan project are to create a language that:

1. Arises through communication and negotiation;
2. Is mostly internally consistent and easy to learn;
3. Resists semantic shift better than natural languages do;
4. Exposes the confusions in natural languages that result from e.g. weak logical capabilities of the average speaker;
5. Enables users to discuss emerging phenomena, such as those relating to LLMs, with no scare quotes.
